Travis McClelland Wins at BAPS Motor Speedway

York Haven, Pa. (7/14/19) - Travis McClelland held off a charging Jeremy Ott to capture the Pizza Shop of Etters Central Pa. Legends presented by Baker Door Company 20-Lap feature.

McClelland started third and knifed his way to the front on the opening lap. Ott started ninth and stormed to the front, taking advantage of a pair of early cautions to take over the runner-up spot.

Ott was the faster car, but he couldn’t pull the trigger on a pass through the middle stage of the event. He followed McClelland and peeked his nose to the inside of at the exit of Turn 4, but the leader had enough off the corner to maintain the lead going down the frontstretch.

McClelland didn’t make any mistakes. Ott had one last chance on the final circuit, but McClelland beat his pursuer to the stripe by half a car-length and took the victory.

Ott settled for second, with Austin Bellemare, Zac Smith, and Bill Diehl completing the top five. Diehl, Ott, and McClelland were heat winners for the 20-car field. Josh Schrum won the consolation.
